Stūķu Rock Trail - A Scenic Hiking Experience

The Stūķu Ieža Trail is a scenic loop of around 6 km, leading from Kārļamuiža along the right bank of the Amata River in the Amata River valley. This trail takes you to the impressive Stūķu cliff and back. As you hike, you'll wind through a wild, untouched forest where rich biodiversity, steep sandstone banks, and the ever-changing river landscape create a truly immersive wildlife experience.

Along the way, hikers encounter one of the most striking Devonian sandstone outcrops in the region - Stūķu iezis - rising above the river with its layered textures and natural formations. The route combines peaceful forest sections with stunning river views, offering a journey through one of the most diverse and atmospheric parts of the Amata valley.
